Nicolò Magistris, born in 2002, is a photographer based in Copenhagen, Denmark.
After completing his high school studies at the Scientific High School "A. Roiti" in Ferrara (Italy), Nicolò studied at IED - Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan, graduating in Fashion Styling & Communication, Major Styling.
His interest in photography started young, playing around with the now sought after digicams of the mid-2000s.During high school he got his first DSLRs and mirrorless cameras, which he used to experiment with the medium of photography.
In 2019 he found an old Olympus point-and-shoot 35mm film camera at his grandparent's, and with that he started widening his film photography knowledge, which originally started a year earlier with a Polaroid OneStep 2 instant camera.

During the college years, while enjoying his course and understanding the inner workings of the fashion world and the broader creative field, he veered away from fashion styling itself and started to specialise on fashion photography. His first projects were for his classmates who needed a photographer for their styling exams. These starting projects explored widely different themes, because of the nature of the assignments themselves, and proved a comprehensive and formative start to his career.
On the third year of IED, while still taking on different projects from classmates and others, Nicolò worked on his graduation thesis project, "Palladiana", a collection of portraits of 52 people narrating the lives and struggles of transfer students living in Milan. The project, very well received and praised by his graduation committee, is a blend of fashion and photojournalism, beautifully presented in two printed volumes, which layouts, printing and overall creation were all curated by Nicolò himself.

Between 2024 and 2025 he attended the Analog and Digital Photography course at CFP Bauer Academy in Milan, finally being able to acquire the formal photography knowledge necessary to handle professional settings such as studio photography and analog film developing and printing.
